The BigTime API is a REST-based service that allows you to get directly to your BigTime data. It gives you a simple way to integration all of your information with other tools/programs "behind-the-scenes."
By submitting a simple query to this api, you'll get a listing of task data (we return the "simple" view on the listings page). Note that you must supply a project id, and the system will return ONLY tasks assigned to that project.
BigTime's staff api provides access to the list of users in the system. Read more in the BigTime API Documentation.
BigTime's reporting engine offers a powerful way to extract exactly the data you need from the system -- combining thousands of possible fields and calculations into a single table, adding your own customized filters and settings and limiting the data users are able to pull based on their unique system permissions.
BigTime's client API provides access to the list of clients that a user would have rights to see if they were logged into the system directly.
Field Type Description View(s) SID: Integer: Unique SID code for this time record. Note that this value is a negative number for any unsubmitted time and a positive number once the entry has been submitted.
BigTime's API allows you to query the settings for screens, workflow and lookup values. Read more in the BigTime API Documentation.
Pulling every project in the system (or every task) is a time consuming process. The picklist api provides a simple way to get a simple id+name listing of elements in the system that you may use elsewhere (eg - in time or expense entries).
BigTime supports session-based name/password authentication, and you'll use your own BigTime login to validate your user session. This page will walk you through establishing a new BigTime user session and using the values retured to help validate any subsequent calls you make to BigTime.
By submitting a simple query to this api, you'll get a listing of invoice data (we return the "simple" view on the listings page). Note that you have the option of including startDt and endDt in order to limit the list returned by the system.
Use the call format below to request a ticket for expense report submission. Note that this request will submit ALL of the user's unsubmitted expenses and will create a new report with the title specified.
BigTime's expense entry api provides access to user's expense report data -- allowing you to create programs and web services that query, create or edit a user's data without relying on the BigTime web pages.
BigTime's OAuth 2.0 api provides secure access to user's resources for third-party app without sharing their credentials.
